A rare Lowestoft porcelain child’s size teabowl and saucer, hand painted in underglaze blue with the Immortelle pattern c1775-80.
The Teabowl measures 6.3cm in diameter and stands 3.9cm tall.
The Saucer measures just 11cm in diameter.
The saucer is in excellent condition. The teabowl has a tiny restored rim chip to the rim.
Both Tea bowl and saucer are marked to the base with crescents in imitation of the more common Worcester mark.
The Immortelle pattern was derived from Meissen porcelain and subsequently copied at Worcester. It is much rarer on Lowestoft porcelain and the small size of this example is particularly rare.
