A Rare fluted Lowestoft saucer, hand painted with the Green Redgrave Pattern, C1785-95. This pattern is fairly common but it is rare to find it on a 16 side fluted saucer.
The saucer measures 12.6cm (4 15/16″) in diameter.
There is a firing crack to the inside of the foot rim, this has caused a hairline crack to run to the rim, all of this is under the glaze and was caused in the kiln. There is also a slither chip to the rim, this looks to have been glued back into place (can be seen at approximately 10 o’clock in picture one).
