Rare Coffee Cup Decorated with an Exotic Bird c1754

A rare Bow porcelain coffee cup with a rounded handle and hand painted in underglaze blue with an exotic bird sitting on a triangular fence within a garden setting. To the reverse is a small island with a pagoda and a display of tall bamboo c1754.

The cup measures 8.3cm in diameter including the handle and stands stands 6.4cm tall.

The cup has a small, stained blemish to the rim and has had professional restoration to a hairline crack from the rim.
