An 18th century Pennington’s Liverpool coffee cup, transfer printed with the fisherman pattern c1775-1800. I would suggest this is Seth rather than John, but even Maurice Hillis say’s he can’t tell them apart when printed with this pattern.
The cup measures 8cm in diameter including the handle and stands 6.6cm tall.
It is in excellent display condition, with no chips or restoration. There is a 4cm very fine hairline to the rim (this is almost invisible on the outside of the cup. There is a firing flaw to the rim from manufacture.
Unmarked.
