Mansfield Pattern Patty Pan c1760-65

Availability: In stock

A 1st period Worcester porcelain patty pan hand painted with the Mansfield pattern c1760-65

See BFS 1.E.1 for a discussion on this well known Worcester pattern. Whilst the pattern is common and was also used by other 18th century factories, the Patty Pan is a rare shape and thought to be used for preserving cooked meats.

It measures 10.3cm in diameter.

Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration.

Marked to the base with a painted open crescent.
