Mansfield Pattern Milk Jug and Cover c1770-80

A Lowestoft porcelain milk jug and cover, hand painted with the Mansfield pattern c1770-80.

The jug measures 10cm in diameter including the handle and stands 14.4cm tall with the cover in place.

Excellent condition, except for a small chip to the rim of cover.

Marked to the base with an open crescent mark imitating Worcester porcelain.

This pattern can be found on Worcester, Caughley, Bow and Liverpool porcelains and is a very good pattern to learn the differences between factories.
