Mandarin Vase and Purple Curtains Pattern Teabowl and Saucer, C1780-85.

A Lowestoft porcelain teabowl and saucer, hand painted with the Mandarin Vase and Purple Curtains pattern, C1780-85.

The teabowl measures 7.9cm (3 1/8″) in diameter and stands 4.6cm (1 13/16″) high. It is in good display condition but has 2 chips to the inner rim, two smaller chips to the outer rim, and a very faint hairline running to the right of the smaller of these outer rim chips, and a small chip to the inner of the foot.

The saucer measures 12cm (4 11/16″) in diameter. It is in excellent condition with only a 1mm hairline to the rim.

There is no restoration or other damage to either part.
