Mandarin Lady Seated Under a Tree Pattern Teapot and Cover, C1780-90.

A Lowestoft porcelain teapot and cover, hand painted in onglaze coloures with a Mandarin style pattern and Gild and flowers border, C1780-90.

The teapot measures 19.1cm from tip of spout to edge of handle and stands 14.2cm high with the cover in place.

Both the pot and cover display very well. The pattern is bright and clear and the gilding clean. Unfortunately there are two chips to the rim of the cover, but apart from these there is no damage or restoration.
