Early Landscape Pattern Moulded Creamboat c1765-70 Ex JM Collection

Availability: In stock

An 18th century Lowestoft porcelain moulded creamboat, hand decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a landscape pattern c1765.

The Creamboat measures 14.3cm in length including the handle and stands 7.2cm tall at the top of the handle.

A good early reference example from the collection of JM a direct descendant of Mary Walker daughter of Philip Walker. Unfortunately there is a firing crack to the rim which has spread downwards by 2cm, also a 6.5cm horizontal crack above the foot to the other side. Both of these cracks have caused staining to the paste. There are no chips or any restoration.

Marked inside the foot with a decorators No 3.
