An early Worcester porcelain fluted teacup and saucer hand painted in underglaze blue with a lambrequin border and central circular design of symbols to the saucer which is repeated to the foot and rim on the cup c1760-70
The Cup measures 8.9cm across including the handle and stands 4.5cm tall.
The Saucer measures 12.2cm in diameter.
Condition of both cup and saucer is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration.
Whilst the cup is marked with a Script W mark, the saucer is marked with a crescent.
See BFS border number 48 showing the same border probably derived from the French porcelain factory St. Cloud who produced fine porcelain from the 1730’s
