A John Pennington, Liverpool porcelain plate printed in underglaze blue with the Plate & Bowl Floral Sprays pattern in conjunction with the border pattern known as the Seeded Border with Pomegranates.
See Hillis Page 451 no.10.120 for a discussion on this pattern on an identical plate. Plates are generally quite rare in most 18th century English porcelain factories and it is quite possible that this example is the same one illustrated in the Hillis book being of identical dimensions.
The plate measures 19.9 cm in diameter
Condition is very good with just a fine star crack to the base, a further short hairline to the rim and a flat chip to the underside of the rim, not visible from the front.
