An 18th century Liverpool porcelain coffee cup manufactured by the factory John Pennington c1775-80.
Decorated in underglaze blue with the “Lady & Servant” pattern.
See HILLIS P.405 9.75 for a high Chelsea ewer decorated with the same pattern. This pattern can also be found on the wares of John Pennington see HILLIS P.323 8.12 for a coffee pot with same design.
The cup stands 6.3 cm tall and measures 7.5 cm across.
Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration.
