A Liverpool John Pennington sauceboat, C1770-75. Transfer printed in underglaze blue with a fruit and flower pattern.
The sauceboat measures 20cm (7 7/8″) in length and stands 9.2cm (3 5/8″) high at the handle.
It has no damage or restoration but the glaze didn’t fire correctly in manufacture.
Unmarked.
