An 18th century Liverpool scalloped edged plate, hand painted with a basket of flowers and floral border c1755-65.
The plate measures 16.1cm in diameter.
It is in good display condition with no chips or restoration. There is a 10cm curved crack running from the rim.
Unmarked, Ex Bernard Watney collection.
This plate was sold in the 1st part of the Watney sale lot 311. It is also illustrated in Liverpool porcelain by Bernard Watney attributed to William Reid, although a similar plate was exhibited by Simon Spero in 1975 as probably James Pennington.
