A very rare Isleworth Saucer dish, hand decorated in blue c1785-90.
It measures 17.1cm in diameter.

Please see British porcelain saucers by Steven Goss 2nd edition for a Saucer in this pattern.
Made for George Capel-Coningsby, The 5th Earl of Essex. He was Viscount Malden and a member of parliament. He married in June 1786 and likely ordered a full service decorated in this way for his property in London.
A shard with this blue border was found at the Isleworth site.
From the collection of Raymond Howard.
