An 18th century Isleworth porcelain butterboat, moulded and hand painted with a floral pattern c1770-75.
The butterboat measures 9.9cm in length including the handle and stands 5.9cm tall.
It is in good display condition with no restoration. There are two stained hairline cracks running from the rim. A chip to the lip and foot and a graze to the handle kick. There is also some very minor staining to the paste.
A rather damaged example sold at Bonhams
This shape butterboat is also discussed on page 231 of British Porcelain Sauceboats of the 18th Century By Nicholas Panes
