An 18th Century Lowestoft porcelain coffee can, hand painted with a House willow fence pattern c1762-65.
The cam measures 8cm in diameter including the handle and stands 6.2cm tall.
It is in good display condition but has suffered some what over its life. There is a large section and a smaller section to the body broken and re stuck. The larger section is between the left and right of the chips to the rim. The smaller section is to the left of the handle. There are also two other chips to the rim, one of which has been glued back into place. The handle has also been broken and re stuck.
Marked to the inside of the foot with a workman’s 3 mark.
Coffee can’s are rare in Lowestoft porcelain especially pre 1770 examples.
