A Worcester porcelain small mug printed in black with two rural scenes c1760.
One being The Rural Lovers, the other showing ladies dancing with a violin player and a servant in the background with a basket of fruit on his head.
The mug measures 9.2cm in dimeter including the handle and stands 8.7cm tall.
Professional restoration inside the rim.
Unmarked.
The engraving for the prints on this mug are more than likely to have been produced by Robert Hancock who is known to have worked at the Worcester factory from the mid-1750’s. The quality of the prints is exceptional and can be found on a full range of Worcester wares from this period
