A small thinly potted Dr Wall period Worcester porcelain teabowl and saucer decorated by James Giles with fancy birds perched on tree branches c1765-70.

The Teabowl measures 7.4cm in diameter and stands 3.9cm tall.

The Saucer measures 11.7cm in diameter.

Condition is excellent with just slight wear to the gilt rims. No damage or restoration.

The Atelier of James Giles is known to have decorated Worcester porcelain in London and this Fancy Birds pattern is a really well painted example. Coupled with the fine potting this is a superb piece of early Worcester porcelain.
