An 18th century 1st period Worcester porcelain large mug, hand painted with the Gardener pattern c1765-70.
The mug measures 13.6cm in diameter including the handle and stands 15.7cm tall.
It displays very well and is very well painted. There are two cracks running from the rim, the longest of these runs to the right of the handle then curves and stops half way up at the tree trunk. Both cracks are very fine and don’t detract on display. There are also two underglaze cracks (from manufacture) to the base which don’t go through to the inside There are no chips or restoration.
Marked to the base with an open crescent mark.
