An early 1st period Worcester coffee cup of fluted shape decorated in underglaze blue with Prunus Root pattern and dating to 1756-58.
This pattern spanned the period from 1753 – 1775 and can be found on a huge variety of different shapes.
This cup stands 5.2 cm tall and measures 7.8 cm across the top including the handle
A workman’s mark to the base confirms the early date.
Condition is excellent with just a flea bite chip to the rim ( can be felt easier than seen), there is no other damage or any restoration.
