A Lowestoft porcelain sparrow beak jug, hand painted in underglaze blue with a flowering vine pattern c1768-70.
The jug measures 7.7cm in diameter and stands 7.6cm tall.
It displays well but has a tiny chip to the left side of the spout, a chip to the inside of the foot, a 17mm and 25mm hairline cracks running from the rim, and two tiny hairlines either side of the spout where it was joined to the body.
Marked to the base with a indistinct workman’s mark.
