Fisherman and Leaning Rock Pattern Sauceboat c1765-68

£255.00

Out of stock

A Lowestoft soft paste porcelain moulded sauceboat, hand painted in underglaze blue with the Fisherman and leaning rock pattern, C1765-68.

The sauceboat measures 18.9cm in length including the handle and stands 10.4cm high at the top of the thumb rest.

The sauceboat is in good condition with only a chip to the thumb rest, this has caused some staining to the paste. There is an underglaze chip to the rim, and a firing crack to the foot, and one to the base inside the foot rim and kiln speckling to the glaze from manufacture.

Unmarked.
