A Bow porcelain bell shaped mug hand painted in polychrome enamels with a fancy exotic bird sitting in a tree with leaves and berries c1765-70.
The mug measures 13.8cm in diameter including handle and stands 14.3cm tall.
Professional restoration to two small chips on the upper and lower rims. There is some slight staining to the base and part of the lower body. This is not unusual on Bow porcelain due to the phosphatic nature of the paste.
Unmarked.
The base has a label for the Maisels Collection and also a hand written label referencing The Adams and Redstone book on Bow porcelain for a similar mug.
