An 18th century Lowestoft porcelain coffee cup, hand painted with a pattern known as the Elizabeth Johnson pattern c1765-68. So named due to the name being written to the base of a teapot displayed in the Norwich castle museum’s collection.
The cup measures 8cm in diameter including the handle and stands 5.5cm tall.
It is in excellent display condition without chips or restoration. There is a 4.5cm stained crack running from the base of the handle, this probably started as a firing crack.
Marked to the inside of the foot with a Workman’s mark.
