A Worcester porcelain teabowl and saucer printed in underglaze blue with The Plantation Print pattern c1760
The Teabowl measures 7.1cm in diameter and stands 3.9cm tall.
The Saucer measures 11.6cm in diameter.
The teabowl is in excellent condition, the saucer having two small chips and a very short hairline to the rim.
See BFS 11.B.5 for a discussion on this pattern. The print was derived from the earlier hand painted version found on pieces dated
1753-1756. The Border found on this eaample is only found on the on earlier examples, with later examples losing the border.
