A small and early Worcester porcelain teapot of slightly squat form c1758-60.
Hand painted in bright polychrome enamels in the Chinese Famille Rose style this teapot depicts a garden scene of flowering prunus blossom issuing from a turquoise coloured rock formation with a triangular fence adjacent to a pink flowering blossom.
The teapot measures 17cm across from handle to tip of spout and stands 10.5cm tall including cover.
Condition is very good with just a small filled chip to the rim of the pot and a flat chip to the foot rim.
See Bonhams Zorensky Sale 2004 Part 1 lot 55 for a similarly decorated bowl.
