A Worcester soft paste porcelain tea canister of ovoid shape complete with cover topped with a flower finial c1775.
Finely decorated in “Compagnie des Indes” style in imitation of Chinese export porcelain. A central spray of mixed flowers within a gilt wreath provides the main decoration with further smaller sprays around the body. There is a diaper border in purple to both the rim of the tea canister and the cover, again embellished with gilt.
The tea canister stands 16.5 cm tall including the cover.
Condition is excellent with just a small loss to the outside petals of the finial and a small section of good restoration to the flange of the cover.
Ex Geoffrey Sell and Robert and Celia Morris collections.
