An 18th century Lowestoft soft paste porcelain butterboat, hand painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a Chinese Island pattern c1770-75.
The butterboat measures 7.3cm in length including the handle by 5.6cm wide and stands 3.1cm tall at the handle.
It is in excellent display condition without cracks or restoration. There is a 8mm shallow chip to the rim to the left of the handle. There is also an unglazed area to the right of the handle, this isn’t damage but a flaw in the manufacturing.
