An 18th century English porcelain coffee cup from the Chelsea red anchor period. Hand painted with English flower sprays c1755.
The cup has a simple rolled handle with thumb rest and is finished with a brown painted rim and a further small flower spray to the inside.
The cup stands 6.7cm tall and measures 8.5cm across including handle.
The base is marked with a small red anchor as is typical with Chelsea porcelain of this period.
Display condition is excellent with a fine hairline in the body having been professionally restored.
