A good thinly potted, early Worcester coffee cup and saucer hand painted in underglaze blue with the “Feather Mould Floral” pattern c.1756-58.
Crisply moulded feather pattern example with a floral chain border to both cup and saucer.
See Branyan, French and Sandon Page 229 1.E.6 for a coffee pot with the same pattern.
Both pieces have early workman’s marks to the base.
The cup stands 5.5cm tall and the saucer measures 11.5cm in diameter
Condition is very good with just a flat chip to the inside of the rim of the cup and a tiny chip to the rim of the saucer. No cracks or restoration.
