An 18th century Lowestoft porcelain sparrow beak jug, hand painted in underglaze blue with the Boy on a Bridge pattern c1773. This pattern is also known as the Tightrope Walker.
The Jug measures 7.8cm in diameter including the handle and stands 8cm tall.
It is in excellent condition without damage or restoration. There is some staining to the glaze and a slight manufacturing fault where it has stuck to another item in the kiln (The rock to the right of the boy looks to have a hole to the centre).
Marked with a decorators mark (14) to the foot rim.
