An 18th century Liverpool porcelain tea bowl from the factory of James Pennington c.1765.
Hand painted in underglaze blue with the uncommon Temple rocks pattern.
See HILLIS P.104 for a coffee can with the same pattern also Goss No.232 for a matching saucer.
Diameter of the saucer is 8.3 cm and it stands 4.7 cm tall.
Condition is good with just a very fine, short hairline 5mm long from the rim, no chips or restoration.
